Beef up your electric guitar with Seymour Duncan pick ups

Beef up your electric guitar with Seymour Duncan pick ups

1) Seymour Duncan Vintage Blue Set

Humbucker set consisting of our 59 Model neck & bridge delivers warm, full, PAF style tone to any dual humbucker instrument.

Description

While these vintage style coils give the 59 Model humbuckers an airy quality that keeps them planted firmly in the PAF family, the alnico 5 bar magnet, and vacuum wax potting have been added to compensate for lighter guitar strings and louder amplifiers than were ever used in the 50s. The result is a pickup with tons of old-school tonal character, but with a brighter top end, and a more compressed sound. The 59s are great for all types of rock and bluesIn addition to the alnico 5 magnet and wax potting, we hand build the 59 Model with a variety of traditional vintage treatments, such as 42AWG plain enamel mag wire, long legged nickel silver bottom plate, vintage single-conductor braided push-back lead wire, and no logo. As with all of our PAF style pickups, the 59 Model is wound on Seymours old Leesona winder from the early Gibson factory in Kalamazoo, MI.

Seymour Duncan Blackouts represent the pinnacle in active guitar pickup technology. 4) Seymour Duncan Dimebag Signature Set
Dimebag wanted it all smooth and crunchy distortion tone, biting treble, punchy bass, but smooth.

This was his bridge and neck setup.

Description

Dimes bridge pickup delivers crunchy pick attack, scooped mids, and just the right amount of saturation. He wanted his signature humbucker to have a thick crunch that sags just a little when you really lay into it. Combine that with a full, tight, low end response, a ceramic magnet, with dual stainless steel blades, and you have the Dimebucker. Dime preferred the warm, smooth power of a 59 Bridge pickup in the neck position to balance with his signature bridge Dimebag pickup. It gave extra teeth to his solos. In a 2004 interview Dimebag described the tone of the Dimebucker, “Its very saturated not to the point where its overly fuzzy but it has a smooth and crunchy distortion tone. It will give you some extra gain, but it wont go so far that your sound breaks up and is going crazy. You get that warm tone with the distortion mixed in and it has the low end that’s kicking you in the butt while the top end is cutting your face off in the right way, but not ripping your face off. If you ever listen to a Pantera record, that’s what you’ll hear through this pickup”. The complete set is Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the bridge Dimebucker uses a ceramic bar magnet, dual stainless steel blades, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance. The 59 Bridge is full vintage inspired, right down to the cloth braid hookup wires. Also wax potted.

5) Seymour Duncan STK-S10 YJM Fury Stack Set Pickup
The YJM Fury Stack hum-canceling single-coil-sized pickups are based on Seymour Duncan's original Stack pickup design. The bridge pickup is aggressive and handles Yngwie's hard-hitting chordal onslaught.

The neck pickup balances Yngwie's fluid left hand technique with his broad mix of right hand pick attack for a tone that's sweet and fluid, but with great articulation and responsiveness to dynamics.

The YJM Fury pickups will directly retrofit most single-coil equipped guitars. Though originally designed for a Fender trat with a scalloped maple fingerboard, the YJM Fury will work well with any bolt-on guitar that utilizes traditional single-coil-size Strat pickups. The YJM Fury is the same pickup that Fender installs in their YJM Strat guitars.
